The City of Fraser is located in Macomb County about 5 miles west of Lake St. Clair and 15 miles north of downtown Detroit, Michigan. Fraser is approximately four square miles with a population of 15,297.

Fraser was established by home rule charter November 7, 1956, and adopted by the electors on December 26, 1956.  Fraser has a very rich history that dates back to the late 1800's. Our About Fraser section tells of our city's history and a whole lot more.

When walking downtown or driving by

the corner of 14 Mile & Garfield roads you will find our City Hall nestled within our largest city park, Steffens Park.  The City Hall Clock and a beautiful memorial honoring our fallen volunteer firefighter, David Sutton is pictured to the right. Please stop by and visit City Hall, our memorials and our parks.
